This collection was born from a question I didn’t even know I had until I watched my daughter watch the England women’s football team win the Euros.
As a child, I didn’t feel I missed out. But now, with the clarity of hindsight and motherhood, I realise there were things I was never even offered. Opportunities that didn’t exist, not because I wasn’t capable, but because I was a girl.
She Could Have Run is a limited collection of six equine artworks, created using my original photographs, printed, cut apart, reassembled, and stitched back together.
Each piece explores strength, restraint, silence, and defiance.
It’s still horses. Still light. Still texture.
But this time, something else is stitched into it too.
A portion of profits will be donated to Her Game Too, supporting women and girls in football.
