COMMISSIONS

COMMISSIONS

Ready to have your very own piece of unique Art. A piece of Art that is made just for you and your horse? Ok so lets see, how do commissions work….?

Well let me tell you a little bit more here, and if you’re interested in having a private commission lets speak on the phone and I can get some details from you.

First thing is first every commission is unique, it will be unique to you, your location and your horse or horses. It’s a very organic process that takes time.

Initially we would have a consultation over video call or on the telephone to get to know each other a little better and so I am able to understand what you are wanting to achieve from your piece of Art. I would then organise a date for the photography part of the commission. This session will last anything up to two hours. These commissions take place where ever you are or what ever location you would like, and yes I do travel the world for these commissions, so where ever you are happy to fly me i’m happy to go! haha! After the photography phase I go back to the studio and start to work on the images. Depending on your requirement for final number of pieces will determine how many images I start to work on using the ancient technique of painting with wax. This can take anything up to 3 months to complete. The process takes times and can and will be repeated over several weeks in order to get to a place with the images that I am satisfied with. When your images are ready to view you will be invited to my studio in the New Forest to view and make your final decisions for framing your Art. At this point your Art will be then bought to life and finalised to create the most stunning pieces of wall art ready to hang where ever you have planned.

The majority of clients find themselves indulging in the process more than once in a lifetime, the experience of creating art of your beloved horse elevates your relationships with then, strengthening your connection to them.
